Code Enforcement will fine homeowners but will not fine slum lords
Aurora Code Enforcement will fine home owners for having weeds in their yard, broken fence and a car in their drive way with a flat tire. But Code Enforcement will not give violations or fine a large apartment complex / slum lord for having structurally unsafe stairs and parking garage. That is fucking insane.

I spoke with David who is high in the chain of command. David manages code division and the building division. I have complained at most if not all levels of the city chain of command about Ridge Hill Apartments. This phone call occurred January 20, 2026.

Does Not Give Some Violations to Slum Lords in Aurora Colorado
David Ingram visited my building and stated that he saw no issues with the stairs at the building. I gave him my exact apartment number. There were two sides of the building where stair cases were severely rusted and had holes in the joints. Yet he did not do anything until I complained to the supervisor Steven Baptista. I saw him the first time he arrived and he did not even get out of his truck. I called him and told him to physically inspect the property.
My opinion is he is a lazy ass government worker who does not do shit and a waste of tax payer money. They should fire his ass but he is probably a boot licker LOL. They keep giving bonuses and raises to city workers who do not do anything. See the Supervisor David Baptista's pay records picture on the "records" page and you will see he got two bonuses.
